The history and origin of the first generation of computers

history of computer generation imageIn 1937 Dr. John V. Atanasoff was officially given credit for the invention of the digital electronic computer. Dr. Atanasoff developed the first digital electronic computers since 1937 – 1942 and the help of graduate student named Clifford Berry. He called his invention as the Atanasoff-Berry Computer, or abbreviated as ABC.

1946 After talking with Dr. Atanasoff, read the manual and how ABC saw ABC, Dr. John W. Mauchly work with Mr. J. Presper Eckert to develop a machine that could calculate the trajectory (trajectory) for the U.S. Army. Outcome, a large-scale electronic computer is completed in 1946 and named ENIAC. Because thousands of times faster than its predecessor machine, ENIAC was a major breakthrough in computer technology. Weighing 30 tons, occupied the room covering 1500 square feet, and has more than 18,000 vacuum tubes (vacuum tube). Legend has it that the ENIAC was built at the University of Pennsylvania has reduced ’supply’ of light to Philadelphia when activated.

Amazing results on the ENIAC computer marks the beginning of the first generation.
