Adware and Spyware

Adware is software that provides ads, usually pop up, and gather general information, using cookies, the user’s Internet connection. Adware is often packed with free downloadable programs. Adware is dangerous, but included in the category of annoying. Adware can generate advertising pop up constantly while downloading the program is running. This can also place a cookie on your computer that will provide information about you when you click on pop-ups or log on to the site download the original program. Adware is a category which could interfere with the call as adware spyware
Adware that uses and can steal the information in our computer is classified as spyware. Computer users who are installing the program or file swapping (ie downloading music) may also be installing spyware programs whose goal is to monitor your computer activities and collects personal and confidential information. This includes e-mail addresses, user passwords and of course credit card number that you enter when making a purchase on-line. They can also install other spyware programs, hijack your web browser by changing your home page. During this time sending back information to the wicked, who will use it for their own advertising purposes, sell it to other bad people or use it to steal your identity. To do all this, the spyware will use the computer’s memory resources and bandwidth. This can slow down your computer.
