Do you already know AppServ? I had just a few days to know AppServ, AppServ has helped me learn the CMS Joomla and Wordpress. By using AppServ I can install Joomla, and Wordpress offline. So before I use a Theme, Templates or Plugins, I first tried it on my computer before I use it. I am currently using Windows 7, and AppServ works fine on my computer. Indeed, before I experienced some problems in the installation process. In this article I will explain what I experienced problems during installation and uses it to  WordPress CMS.

Do you already know what it is AppServ?
AppServ is a full-featured of Apache, MySQL, PHP, phpMyAdmin. You can setup in 1 minite.

All packages download from Official Binary Release. AppServ objective just make easy to setup. We do not provide anything else more than Official Binary Release package. Becuase we think the Official Binary Release work better than compile by individual or third-party binary. AppServ have only special configuration when install, Apache configure httpd.conf, MySQL configure my.ini, PHP configure php.ini. AppServ can guaranty any package from AppServ can work stable like Official of Apache, PHP, MySQL Release.

Objective of AppServ Just Easy to install. You can setup web server, database server in 1 minute.For some question AppServ can be Real Production Web Server or Database Server. We can tell you Yes !! 100% can make AppServ to provide Production Server. But Windows OS is not good enough for heavy load on you web or database server.Windows OS architecture use more memory and CPU usage we recommend you to use Linux/Unix OS to service heavy load of work. Because Linux/Unix OS have more speed and use less memory and CPU usage. If you compare hit when use Windows OS and Linux/Unix OS you must be found a very difference speed. e.g. Windows can handle 1000 users per second but Linux/Unix OS can handle more than 1000 users per second and eat a little memory and cpu.

At AppServ installation, do not experience problems, because it has supported the AppServ in Windows 7. Then I insoles first time by opening http://localhost through the Browser, the results were also normal because the lead directly in the browser menu AppServ. However when I opened http://localhost/phpMyAdmin/ happened a little problem, My computer did the process of loading a very long time, and after it appeared the white blank in the browser
After I find out I have to do settings on the files hosted on the part of drivers, you may notice in the picture below:

All you have to do is open the Hosts file and open it with Notepad Application Programs, then remove the hash mark (“#”) on localhost. If the file is not there you can fill it with content:
127.0.0.1     localhost
If you’ve made changes to the file, please save it and restart your Apache and try again dengam opened http://localhost/phpMyAdmin/. I open phpMyAdmin and make sure you can make settings in phpMyAdmin.

   But in windows 7 , after I modified the hosts and saved the file it doesn’t allow to save the file.
   How to do?

   close your AppServ before you save your modified file. or restart your Windows, and edit the hosts first before you start Appserv.
